Now
I got a new job! I am no longer part of government contracting, and have the privilege to be able to work remotely.
After visiting Escher in Het Paleis a few years ago, I started drawing simple tesselations in my free time and found it very relaxing. Art supplies are a slippery slope, and now I'm the proud owner of a compass, straight edge, various markers and pens, and just recently got my first small set of sketching/shading pencils.
A goal of mine is to contribute to the Bandersnatch Python project. It's the first open source project where I've felt familiar enough with the language and problem domain to be able to. So far I've only updated documentation, but I'd like to start working on bug fixes.
